Class Descriptions
Imagine walking a calm well behaved dog? No lunging, pulling or dragging you down the street. Imagine being passed by bikes, skate boards, strollers or other dogs and people, with your quiet, relaxed dog by your side.
Let me show you how, using kind, gentle and successful training techniques.
Walking your dog should be a time of bonding and simple pleasure for the both of you.
PUPPY KINDERGARTEN:
The first few months of a puppys life can be used to develop wonderful habits and manners! Don't wait, many people think puppies will "outgrow" distructive, inappropriate behavior, How can they, if they don't know what is expected of them? A pup needs to understand the rules and be motivated gently for the best results. What it is you expect from him? You have repaced your puppys natural pack, so it is up to you to provide supervision and education. Families with supervised, well behaved children are welcome in classwith puppies, 3-5 months old. Shaping behavior using clickers, treats, play & toys. Have fun with your family, while training a super and willing puppy!
ELEMENTARY SCHOOL:
A program designed for lovable but unruly dogs, six months old and up. Addressing nipping, jumping come-sit-down-stay-walk on leash, "settle" and be calm when greeting people, and behaving in public . Prevent bad habits instead of fixing them later. Fun games to play! motivate your pup to turn on a dime and come the first time you call her! Your dog will want to focus and listen to you even around other dogs and people! Learn the methods professional dog trainers use to get dependable results.
K9 FITNESS BUDDIES:
Busy life? Hate going to the gym? Need a work out buddy? How about an hour work out class with your dog? This is an entry level class for out of shape dogs and people
You will both do a little cardio, strengh training, balance and coordination, as well as working on dog obedience and tricks. Benifits include saving time, bonding with your pet and meeting new friends !
Go on, do a little, "downward dog" Dogs must have had some previous obedience training and be, dog and people friendly.
REAL LIFE:
Preparing for the real world includs desensitizing your dog to skateboards, bikes, strollers, wheel chairs etc. Retrieving work, go outs, sit and down stays with distractions & distance & out of sight, hand signals, transition to off leash work, jumping obstacles & hoops, & fun games to play (must complete puppy kindergarten or elementary school)
DOG "THUNDER PHOBIA:"
Is your dog terrrified of thunder storms? Learn about the 2 kinds of " thunder phobia" and other noise sensitivities in dogs, and , how to help your dog manage these stressful situations. you will learn opperant conditioning, touch therapy, aroma therapy, calming signals and other management techniques.
DOG ENTERTAINERS FOR HIRE: (not a course)
We have trained dogs to perform at corporate or private events with various themes and routines.

IN HOME TRAINING:
Working shifts? Have no time for class? WE can work around your schedule, in your home with your family.
Prevent problem puppies! We can begin training puppies as young as 7 wks with you in your own home. If you have a dog with aggression or other problem behaviors I will be glad to help you!
CANINE FREE STYLE: (Levels 1,11 & 111)
A new competition sport called “FREE STYLE”, is a great way to exercise with your best friend! “Sweating with the oldies” or any music you choose will keep you both in shape. Dogs love moving to music, lots of cool tricks to learn, builds confidence, focus and enhances general obedience with reliability around distractions (Basic obedience required)
BOWSER AND BABY:
Is your dog a spoiled "baby?" What are you going to do when you bring home a "HUMAN BABY?" Do you know how to safely prevent rival jealousy ( similar to sibling rivalry in humans) which could lead to house training regression, or other problem even dangerous behaviors. Would you like a cool pet who identifies baby toys are off limits, yet enjoys her own dog toys? With increasing visits from family and friends are you confident your dog won't jump or harrass your guests, bolt out of the door or bark too much?. Teach your dog to walk beside the stroller with out lunging, barking or dragging you toward danger. Use gentle easy training methods to prevent your dog from knocking down a toddler, nipping or even tripping you. Teach your children to be gentle to your dog in possitive, non threatning ways. This is a great family program!
REACTIONARY DOG CLASS: (levels 1 & 2 )
For serious behavior problems such as, lunging, growling and barking at people or pets. We use safe, humane methods (NO hanging, choking, electric shock or other pain induced procedures!)
An individual risk assessment and behavior program is designed for your pet. I will teach you skills and techniques to control and modify your dog’s reactionary and aggressive behavior. (4 dogs per class)
TRACKING: (levels - 1, 11 & 111)
Another great way to bond with your dog in the great out doors!
Any breed can track, they already know how. We will teach them what to look for, and imagine the benefits of finding lost stuff too!
